Rob Osgard and Bill Ruckman
Howard Lorton, Inc. opened the doors to their downtown Denver showroom in 1927. While fine furniture styles have changed dramatically in the last 91 years, Howard Lorton’s approach to selling furniture has not. The company is a family owned business that puts integrity at the heart of everything they do. By partnering with the best manufacturers, Howard Lorton offers complimentary design and delivery service and makes sure that their customers are always satisfied.
Bill Ruckman has been with Howard Lorton since 1998, lending his talent as a buyer, merchandise manager, and showroom designer. Born and raised in South Carolina, Bill describes himself as a “Southern boy.” He graduated from Clemson University in 1982 with a BA in Secondary Education and later moved to Atlanta where he earned a second degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Atlanta.
Prior to joining Howard Lorton, Bill held roles in customer service and in purchasing at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center, Roberds Furniture, and Rhodes Furniture. A corporate office position with Rhodes as the Lead Showroom Designer took him to Colorado where he has been ever since.
"At Howard Lorton, you don’t work with a sales person. You get to work with someone who truly knows what they are doing. Who can bring your vision to life, in a way that suits your lifestyle." - Rob Osgard
Rob Osgard has been at Howard Lorton for more than 20 years, where he has put his lifelong interest and experience in design to work. He takes pride in simplifying and streamlining the buying process to help bring his clients’ visions to life in ways that suit their lifestyles.
Rob credits his time working at a haberdashery for igniting his interest in design and his appreciation of fabrics and textiles. He continues to draw inspiration from from every person, place, and experience to help him bring his clients' visions to life in a way that suits their lifestyle.
“Whether I’m working with Traditional design or Mid Century Modern or Contemporary," Rob says, "I believe in lasting elegance, so there’s a timeless feel. It’s about design that has soul.”
